Should designers learn to code?

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. It is helpful for UX designers to have a basic understanding of coding concepts and technologies, but they do not necessarily need to become full-fledged developers. Knowing how to code can help UX designers communicate more effectively with developers, better understand the technical limitations of a project, and even prototype designs themselves. Ultimately, whether or not UX designers should learn to code depends on their career goals, the nature of their work, and the specific demands of their role.
